Shredded hardwood mulch may be single or double ground, and is aged at least 180 days. Compost is double ground, composted 120-180 days, monitored daily for temperature, and ¼ or 3/8 inch screened. Mulch and organic compost options can be tailored to help land developers and landscape contractors manage grounds issues ranging from moisture and nutrient retention to soil aeration and weed control.
RGI experts also re-screen and blend these organic products with custom-engineered mixes of native soil, sand, and aggregate to meet virtually any specifications for organically enriched soil products. Custom mixes are ideal for green roofs, smart walls, biofilters, bioswales, bioretention, landscaping applications, and highway or construction projects.
